Modern horse ownership is all about understanding the basic needs of the horse and reflecting this in the way you manage the environment where your horse lives. Understanding the behaviour of the horse and how the environment they live in can affect your relationship, is a very good start to creating a partnership. Not every horse owner has the luxury of keeping their horses at home, or in a way they would choose in an ideal world, but there is still much that can be done while keeping within the rules of the livery yard and within your budget.
More and more Riding Schools are closing down due to the sue culture and increasing running costs, without being able to increase their prices. therefore more and more people are opting for ownership and learning the hard way. This can be a costly approach, both financially for the owner, and for the relationship between horse and owner.
Partnership Solutions came about through the desire to help novice people to transition to Horse ownership, at a reasonable cost. Every horse owner has their own ideas on what the best way is to keep a horse, which may work for them but may not work for you, and new owners can fall into the trap of trying to listen and apply all advice given. At Equine Partnership Solutions, we will endeavour to give you the information you need to make your own informed decisions on how to keep your horse, based on the needs of you and your horse.
We are hoping to keep the cost down offering bespoke courses based on your needs. This can be help with knowledge on how to keep your horses, choices in food, bedding, rugs etc, or hands on practical exercises to build a relationship with your horse from day one.
One off lessons can be expensive and non productive as the time is spent with the instructor getting to know both the horse and the rider, by offering courses where you buy a block of time, can help bring the costs down, and how the time is used is up to you. This can be an intensive course, one lesson a week, or one when you have practised what we went through in the lesson.
